Primal Scream

24/08/2017 - Palco Principal

Created in 1982 by the former drummer of the ex-Jesus and the Mary Chain (Bobby Gillespie), the Primal Scream is recognized as one of the most unique rock bands from Her Majesty's lands. Of a unique sound that boosts influences as diverse as Byrds and Velvet Undergound, the Primal Scream has on the album "Screamadelica" (1991) their masterpiece. The album was awarded with the 1992 Mercury Music Prize, beating a heavyweight competition which included "Stars" by Simply Red, and "Achtung Baby" by U2. Always surprising, the Primal Scream is also a contagious band on stage, with a fusion of sonorities ranging from dance to dub, techno, acid house and rock.
